Meet: Suzanne Phillips!
Suzanne created Susie-Lotta Photography in 2014. An experienced & creative business owner of Susie-Lotta Photography and Susie-Lotta Designs, with a demonstrated career & body of work across design and photography.
Suzanne was born in Sweden to a Ballerina and an Opera Singer & grew up in Australia.
As a child nickname was Susie-Lotta, so that’s where the business name comes from.
Beginning a career with professional photography in 1990 at the North Adelaide School of Art & completing a 4 year degree, BA of Visual Arts in 1994 majoring in photography, film & computer animation at the South Australian School of Art/ University of South Australia, uncovered a passion for photography.
Producing art, photography and designs for over 31 years. Some of my favourite photographers over time are Julia Margaret Cameron, Richard Avedon, Irving Penn and Cecil Beaton that have influenced my style.
Experience includes working in a Fashion-Advertising photo studio in England, teaching adults’ photography in Sweden, photography labs/stores in Sweden & Australia, working as a Freelance photographer in Sweden for editorials, weddings, boat christenings, events, dance performance.
Photographer focusing on portraits, fashion, head shots & commercial photography. Exhibiting in art exhibitions both in Australia & Sweden, with experience for small newspapers & magazines.
Teacher & lecturer of black & white photography, image composition, screen-printing, fabric painting, classical ballet for children & in assisting a teacher in an international Pre-school.
Suzanne is also a qualified Interior Decorator, so she is qualified to assist you decorate your home with beautiful photographic wall art and more!
Historical re-enactor with many craft skills such as tablet weaving, visiting schools & medieval fairs around Australia to teach people about the medieval times. She also sings in a choir, and loves beach walks and has 2 fluffy friends and is a mum.
